Jean-Jacques Rousseau addresses the question of the city and its development in the middle of the 18th century. He opposes it to the countryside and maintains that the city is the place of pretense, that it alienates the nature of men, that it generates loneliness and accentuates inequalities. Let's talk with:
• Leïla el-Wakil, art and architecture historian, associate professor at the University of Geneva.
• Luca Pattaroni, urban planning sociologist, lecturer at EPFL.
• Martin Rueff, poet, professor at the University of Geneva and president of the Jean-Jacques Rousseau Society.
• Barbara Tirone, architect and president of the Maison de l'Architecture in Geneva.
